FSSAI an acronym for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Step 1: The food business persons must register their business with the registering authority. They must submit a fee of Rs. 100 for a span of one year.
Step 2: After registering their business they must fill in Form A of the application with a fee amount of Rs. 100.
Step 3: After submission of the above form, the applicant will get a 14 digit -Unique Application Reference Number.
Step 4: Within 7 days of submission of the form, the Registering Authority will either issue a registration certificate or will reject the form. Acceptance or rejection of application completely depends on further verification.
Step 5: The food business operators can start their business after receiving the approval certificate from the registering authority.
Step 6: The registering authority may if required issue an inspection notice and the order must be passed within 7 days.
Step 7: The process of conducting the inspection will be completed within 30 days and after that, the food business persons can make their business functional.
